COMPETITION REPERTOIRE:
The Repertoire must follow the requirements of the category for which a contestant is applying. Contestants have a choice of how to divide their repertoire into two rounds. Only solo repertoire please, no concertos.
Young Artist (total up to 60 min of music), Repertoire must include the following selections:
Any Prelude and Fugue from WTC OR Prelude from English Suite by J. S. Bach
First Movement of a Classical Sonata by Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart or Clementi
Variations Serieuses Op. 54 by Mendelssohn OR 32 Variations WoO 80 by Beethoven*
Aspire (total up to 40 min of music), repertoire must include the following selections:
First Movement of a Classical Sonata by Beethoven, Haydn or Mozart
One Moment Musicaux or Impromptu by Schubert*
Spark (total up to 20 min of music), repertoire must include the following selections:
Any one Invention or Sinfonia by J. S. Bach
Any Song Without Words by Mendelssohn*
Only solo repertoire is allowed. All repertoire must be performed from memory. Contestants will virtually perform both rounds in the competition (First round is a non-elimination round).
