About Su Yeon:
Kim began formal piano studies at the age of five with Eun-Ju Heo, in her home of South Korea. Having graduated from pre-college at the Korea National University of Arts in 2008, she now studies with Professor Choong-Mo Kang at the Korean Institute for the Gifted in Arts. Kim took 1st prize at the 2005 and 2008 Asia Chopin International Piano Competitions, and 2nd prize at the 2009 International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. In 2008, she performed in the Euro Music Festival’s “Young Artist Concert” in Leipzig, Germany.
