About Marianna:
Born in 1982 in Russia, Marianna Prjevalskaya started to play the piano at the age of 6. Her mother was her teacher for the following 11 years.
In 1992, her family moved to Spain. She received a bachelor’s degree from the Royal College of Music in London under Irina Zaritskaya and Kevin Kenner. She then became a student of Alexander Toradze at Indiana University South Bend, from which she received an artist diploma. In 2005, she began studies with Boris Berman at the Yale University School of Music, where she earned a master’s degree and artist diploma.
Prjevalskaya is a winner of several international piano competitions has appeared at major venues across the globe and, as a soloist, has performed with numerous orchestras.
Prjevalskaya is the artistic director of the Open Piano Competition in London.
Her latest recording project, an album dedicated to Sergei Rachmaninov, will be released by Fanfare Cincinnati.
